VoluMill

A Science-Based Toolpath Combined with Really Smart Engineering.

VoluMill is perfect for the airframe, automotive, mold & die, medical, machinery component, and consumer-products markets, for all roughing needs on free-form or prismatic parts.

Proven Results

VoluMill is the fastest, most cost effective method of bulk-material removal for all non-finishing milling operations.

Any Part

VoluMill is perfect for the airframe, automotive, mold & die, medical, machinery component, and consumer-products markets, for all roughing needs on free-form or prismatic parts.

Any Material

VoluMill’s constant material removal rates enable machine tools and cutting tools to operate under ideal milling conditions throughout, regardless of a part’s shape or complexity.

VoluMill

Faster Material Removal Rates, with Less Stress on Machine-Tools and Cutting-Tools

VoluMill’s patented technology delivers smooth flowing toolpaths that never exceed your programmed rate of material removal. There are no abrupt turns or over engagement any time during your operation making it a much more efficient method for removing bulk material.

Features

Any Material

VoluMill’s constant material removal rates enable machine tools and cutting tools to operate under ideal milling conditions throughout, regardless of a part’s shape or complexity. Rough milling performance is significantly increased in all materials, from aluminum, to titanium, to exotics.

VoluMillâ„¢ for GibbsCAM is an ultra-high performance toolpath (UHPT) option that uses a continuous, high-speed toolpath for an optimized CNC program. These powerful, high-speed, high-material-removal-rate capabilities can help you create the fastest, most efficient toolpath for a wide variety of milling part types in your shop. The process automatically takes into account the best option for milling pockets including the tool speed plunging into the material and material removal rates. Variation in tool load is smoothed, which allows the machine to use much higher speeds and feeds.
