The SpaceMouse Enterprise is the top of the product line. It uses the same 6-degrees-of-freedom controller cap as the other SpaceMouse products. You can move the cap straight up/down/left/right/forward/backward to pan and zoom, or twist it to rotate. The base is much larger than a standard SpaceMouse and features an ergonomic soft-coated hand rest.
The 3DxWare 10 software gives you the power to customize the cap operation and sensitivity. Each SpaceMouse Enterprise also has 31 programmable buttons that are conveniently placed for easy access. The first are a set of 12 buttons at the top that are intelligent enough to change as you switch applications, and can have their assigned commands displayed on the screen above. You can bind a variety of things to any button, from single keys or commands, to customized macros containing multiple inputs. For full flexibility you can create and bind custom radial menus with up to 8 keys/commands/macros each. When you press a button the assigned radial menu will appear so you can click on, or gesture toward, the required function with your mouse.
Next up there are 7 buttons on the left, and 1 on the right, that are bound to common keyboard keys by default. You can use them to reduce hand travel to your keyboard, or program them to do something else entirely. An eighth button, labelled Menu, can also be found on the left that opens the 3DxWare preferences by default.
The right side has 8 buttons that give you quick access to a variety of different views by default. The rotation lock button in the middle will let you pan and zoom without worrying about rotating things at the same time. There’s also one last button, labelled Fit, that will zoom to the extents of your project.
The SpaceMouse Enterprise measures in at 249mm L x 154mm W x 58mm H (9.8" L x 6.1" W x 2.3" H) and weighs 800g (28.22oz). It has CE, FCC, KC, RCM, BSMI, RoHS-EU, RoHS-China, WEEE, BellAndVision, Japanese Recycling Law product compliance and a 3 year manufacturers warranty. This device will work on both Windows and Mac operating systems.
